3 cr. hrs.; 3 lecture hours; 0 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: PSYC 101 "C" or better This is an introductory course to abnormal psychology that introduces students to proposed theoretical explanations for the causes of psychological disorders from psychological, sociocultural, and biological perspectives. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) is used as the primary means of classification and treatment modalities are also considered. IAI: PSY 905
