Catalog description

3 cr. hrs.; 3 lecture hours; 0 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 031; OR appropriate placement score in English and Reading; OR Concurrent enrollment in ENG 101 or ENG 051/101C. A survey of perennial philosophical questions and theories in metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. There is a focus on investigating the nature and existence of God, free will, and knowledge, as well as various accounts of the mind/body problem, personal identity, the best way to live, and the meaning of life.
