Mental Health Practice

4 cr. hrs.; 3 lecture hours; 2 lab hours per week. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 200, OTA 111, OTA 131, OTA 141 and OTA 151 "C" or better Mental Health Practice presents the principles and practice of observing, assessing, documenting, teaching, adapting and grading occupations for individuals with psychological, cognitive and social challenges. Topics include assessing and modifying skills and environmental aspects to promote independence in occupation-based tasks for people, groups, and populations.
