Catalog description

3 cr. hrs.; 2 lecture hours; 2 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: ENGT 186 "C" or better This manufacturing course covers the setup and operation of a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) turning center. Topics include tooling, work-holding devices, setup documentation, and tool compensations. Upon completion, the student will be able to setup and operate a CNC turning machine to produce a simple part. Shop safety and quality principles are given special emphasis throughout the course.
