Introduction to Literature

3 cr. hrs.; 3 lecture hours; 0 lab hours per week. Appropriate placement score in reading, REA 103 "C" or better, or concurrent enrollment in REA 103. English 190 offers an introduction to works of poetry, drama, and fiction in order to develop the reader's interpretive skills. The course is designed to promote an awareness of excellence in literature as well as an appreciation of diversity. As such, it will prepare students for other literature offerings. IAI: H3 900.
