Payroll Accounting

Catalog description

3 cr. hrs.; 2 lecture hours; 2 lab hours per week. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in ACCT 170 and ACCT 171; or instructor consent. This course covers payroll accounting systems with a review of the underlying theory and application of payroll taxes and related deductions and expenses. Completion of payroll forms (federal/state/local), and payroll laws and regulations of Illinois sales tax and sales tax forms is included.
