Credits: 1 Prerequisite: GEOL 105 & GEOL 105L . Corequisite: Concurrent registration in, or previous successful completion of, GEOL 102 . Typically Offered: ONDEMAND Two hours of lab per week. Laboratory exercises investigate the evolution of the Earth's crust through geologic time. Topics include: plate tectonics, statistical analysis of sediments, strata chronology and the influence of structural forces, relative and radiometric dating, sorting and correlation techniques, geomagnetism, geologic implications in the fossil record, and others.
