Credits: 4 Typically Offered: SPRING This course provides foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in construction, focusing on the technical and administrative aspects of electrical work. Topics include circuits, power transmission, secondary distribution systems, measurement, instrumentation, and various building systems such as lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, with an emphasis on energy conservation, safety, and code compliance. Students will gain essential skills in estimating, reading blueprints, and understanding electrical and mechanical systems within buildings.
