Cyber Defense and Countermeasures (CySA+)

This course is designed to increase the students understanding of cybersecurity threats and attacks, including the application of environmental reconnaissance techniques such as OS fingerprinting, e - mail harvesting, and social media profiling using various tools (e.g., Nmap, netstat, and Syslog). Students will use threat detection tools, perform data analysis and interpret the results to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to an organization with the end goal of securing and protecting applications and systems within an organization. This course prepares students for the CompTIA CySA+ Exam. Prerequisites: HISM 1525 Cloud Foundations .
