The course begins at project proposal acceptance and follows BAE’s design lifecycle, including SRS, PDR, CDR, and TRR design reviews. Students are expected to organize into a team structure with a Program Manager, Discipline Leads, and Integrated Project Teams. The course includes weekly lectures or customer team meetings. Students are expected to develop and solidify project requirements, perform research on related technologies, formulate trade studies for use in customer meetings, improve cross-disciplinary knowledge, and execute a complex project through the prototype phase (16 week). Prerequisites: Graduate Standing. Offered in the Fall.
