Catalog description

Scrolls, microfiche rolls, and leather spew: unravel the vocabulary and procedures for working with primary sources. If you?ve always been fascinated by musty libraries and the backrooms of museums, this course will help you explore the bits of history collected millennia ago and just last month. You will learn how archival materials represent diverse communities and be surprised by the little details of daily life that create the historical record. You will use both digital and traditional archival collections to gain proficiency with writing about and with archival materials while exploring intersections of power. Offered regularly.
