The UNIV 104 first-year seminar courses explore an intriguing intellectual topic, help students hone critical thinking and writing skills, and assist students in making a successful transition to university life. They feature a blended course format which includes two primary components: one part focuses on an academic topic taught by a faculty member; the second is devoted to new student transition topics taught by a professional staff co-instructor. *Individual course descriptions each semester also contain information specific to each academic topic offered.
