Catalog description

Hip Hop dance is designed for students with an interest in Hop Hop dance/culture. This class introduces students to Hip Hop through movement that includes freestyle dancing, locomotive movements, and choreography. This course seeks to introduce students to a culturally significant art form, enhance mind/body awareness, and provide practical opportunities for students to apply skills learned in class via performances. This course is directly related to dance, theatre and other arts based and humanities based courses. THIS COURSE IS APPROPRIATE FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS. Offered once a year.
