Catalog description

This course examines the full range of functional responsibilities of general purpose local governments (counties, towns, cities, villages), including but not limited to: planning and zoning, public safety, infrastructure and public works, transportation, parks and recreation, vital records, economic development, housing and community development, property valuation, and revenue collection. Particular attention is paid to how the dynamics of federalism and intergovernmental relations between local, state and national governments influence service delivery. Crosslisted with PAFF 581.
