Introduction to research methods. Focuses on the "logic of inquiry"--how one goes from theory or research interest to empirical results. Upon completion, students are able to: 1) construct a research hypothesis/research question; 2) identify appropriate quantitative and/or qualitative method(s) for investigating that question; 3) collect and analyze data; and 4) present research results.
