Advanced Issues In Quality

Catalog description

The topic of quality has taken more and more of a critical nature for not only manufacturing systems, but all enterprise systems including service industries, healthcare, and others. This course provides a brief review of topics normally covered in SSIE 561. After that, the course focuses on advanced topics not typically covered in SSIE 561 including, but not restricted to: quality loss equations and derivations, theoretical/mathematical derivations of control chart limits, short run process control, advanced process capability metrics, multivariate process control, and engineering process control. Prerequisite: SSIE 561 or equivalent. Semester offering may vary.
