Examination of past and current thinking in the field of early childhood special education (Birth to grade 2) through an activity-based, early intervention framework. Includes analysis of connections between theory and practice with a focus on observing, evaluating, instructing, and assessing young children with disabilities in a variety of early childhood settings. Prequisite: SPED 501 or equivalent. Offered: fall.
