Catalog description

If you were raised in a home where Spanish was spoken but received the majority of your formal education in English, you are considered a heritage speaker. This course is designed for heritage learners who feel comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, on a variety of subjects. Students will continue to develop their proficiency, through a great variety of communicative activities that elucidate formal aspects of the Spanish language while exploring Hispanic and Latino cultural heritage. Additionally, during the course students will meet peers with similar interests and experiences, and complete a class for the Spanish minor and major. Equivalent of SPAN 215. Offered regularly.
