Catalog description

This course asks students to think about energy, power and nature in new ways. We consider many conventional issues - such as peak oil, resource wars, and climate change. We do so from a perspective that asks, How are human relations of power and production already part of nature? This course explores how technology and culture, science and power, energy and work, are entwined at every turn in the making of the modern world -and in today’s era of devastating climate change and mass extinction.
