Catalog

Sociology is a critical examination of the world around us, which allows us to identify how external social forces contribute to our opportunities, constructions of reality, and behavioral tendencies. This course introduces you to a number of sociology's broad range of topics such as culture, socialization, deviance, race, class, gender, family, social movements, and education. Students will be able to use their sociological imagination to examine how they fit within an increasingly complex world.
