Catalog description

Then you will study the differences between vowels and consonants in the way they are produced and perceived. You will learn a new system of transcribing sounds called the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). This is a universal system that will allow you to code any language. And finally, since this is a course on clinical phonetics you will learn how variations in speech sounds occur and how to transcribe them.
