Catalog description

Societal stereotypes can have a negative impact on all aspects of the lives of individuals with disabilities. This is especially true for individuals with less identified types of conditions, such as stuttering. Through readings of texts and primary research, students will develop the background for considering stuttering and disability related stereotypes. Additionally, students will review basic aspects of research design, including survey and qualitative designs. Students will work on an independent research study during the term. For Source Project students only.
