SEC 594D is the second of a two-course sequence designed to prepare students for a Master of Arts degree in Science Adolescence Education, Grades 7-12. It is a continuation of and follow up to SEC 593D typically taken concurrently with SEC 590-591 Internship in Teaching. SEC594D is designed to provide an extended opportunity for preservice secondary science teachers to explore theories-in-action related to the who, what, when, where, why, and how of ambitious science teaching within the teaching/learning dynamic. This course will build on SEC 593D with a specific focus on three-dimensional science instruction and ambitious science teaching to further prepare students as caring, competent, and qualified professional educators. Co-requisites: SEC 590 & SEC 591. Pre-requisite. SEC 593. Offered: fall.
