As a continuation of/follow-up to SEC 593D, the intent of SEC 594D is to provide an extended "opportunity" for preservice & inservice secondary science teachers to further explore un/under-examined "theories-in-action" [philosophical, psychological & pedagogical assumptions] related to the "who, what, when, where, why & how" of the grade 7-12 teaching/learning dynamic in the real-world context of their fall student teaching experience (SEC 590-591 for MATs) or their ongoing careers (MsEd) as caring, competent & qualified professional educators. An abstracted sampling of the ten subgoals include the planning, implementation and assessment of the research-informed Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment practices featured as seven subgoals in SEC 593D; exchanging CIA materials with their peers; and identifying next steps in career-long professional development.
