Math for Secondary Teachers I

Catalog description

This course is to provide students with a conceptual understanding of two key content areas in middle and high school mathematics standards: ratios & proportions and functions. The course will focus on solving problems using multiple solution methods, mathematical reasoning, and appropriate technological tools. This course also requires students to justify their thinking with multiple representations (e.g., gestures, pictorial, symbolically). Instructor approval required. Offered: fall or spring.
