Catalog description
“As data informed and equity-minded leadership becomes more prominent in higher education, an essential skill set for practitioners is how to gather useful data that helps them in their daily work. In this course students will learn the various lens ‘used to share assessment in U.S. higher education as well as to plan assessment projects, collect and analyze data and most importantly how to transform that data into information that can be used for decision making, improving experiences, garnering resources or informing audiences. No previous experience with research or assessment is needed for the course. Prerequisite: Admission into a recognized graduate program at Binghamton University, or consent of the HESA department chair. Offered: fall only.
