Catalog description
This course covers spinal cord and peripheral nerve cell structure and function and neurophysiological principles of action potential generation, propagation and synaptic transmission, and structure and function of components of the PNS. This foundation will enable the student to describe the normal function and pathological dysfunction of the spinal cord and PNS and select diagnostic procedures ultimately enabling the student to link pathology to clinical presentations. This course is offered in the spring semester, year 2.
