Catalog description
This course prepares students to screen patients for involvement of the major organ systems and establish differential diagnoses to determine the need for further examination, consultation or referral to other health professionals as a component of the physical therapy examination process. This course also introduces students to the various types of medical imaging that are part of the full diagnostic workup commonly seen in physical therapy with the outcome of understanding the indication and use of the tests as well as being able to understand and apply the findings to the physical therapy examination, diagnosis and intervention planning. This course is offered in the spring semester, year 1.
