Biology Bases of Behavior

Catalog description

Provides in-depth, empirically grounded coverage of major issues with respect to biological aspects of behavior including multiple biological underpinnings of behavior, such as neural, physiological, anatomical, and genetic aspects of behavior. This course is for doctoral students in the clinical psychology and cognitive psychology Ph.D. programs. It is designed to expose students to knowledge through a curricular experience that utilizes primary source materials (including original empirical work that represents the current state of the area), emphasizes critical thinking and communication at an advanced level, and provides a discipline-specific foundation to later learning experiences. Prerequisites: Enrollment in a psychology doctoral program or consent of the instructor.
