Catalog description
This course provides in-depth, empirically-grounded coverage of major issues with respect to theories and methods of consultation and supervision. Students will learn supervision models and practices as well as the literature on self-care, burnout, and occupational stress as it applies to psychologists. Students will reflect on their own personal and professional functioning, performance, well-being, and effectiveness considering the values and attitudes of psychology, including integrity, deportment, professional identity, accountability, lifelong learning, and concern for the welfare of others. Prerequisites: Enrollment in the clinical psychology doctoral program.
