Examines major forms of adult psychopathology from multiple levels of analysis, including genetic, neurobiological, neural, individual differences, and interpersonal perspectives. Focus is on the causes of psychopathology and current research from the experimental and developmental psychopathology viewpoints is reviewed. Special attention given to descriptive psychopathology, classification, and diagnosis. Minimal attention to treatment approaches and/or health policy issues. Prerequisite: Enrollment in clinical science program or permission of the instructor.
