Lab-Child Evidence-Based Pract

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to expand and develop mastery in the application of behavioral principles and methodology introduced in PSYC 355, Applied Behavior Sciences, in the context of Autism Spectrum Disorder Analytic and applied skills will be shaped through advanced academic and lab (practicum) experiences, emphasizing data collection and analysis. Students produce several formal reports during the semester based upon objective measurement of child skills. This course also has lectures, readings, and weekly written assignments. Students complete the applied practicum at the Institute for Child Development. Prerequisites: PSYC 111, PSYC 243, PSYC 344, and PSYC 355. PSYC 355 (B or higher if declaring the Track). Attendance on the first day of class is required. Offered in fall semester.
