Catalog description

Basic principles of assessment, counseling and psychotherapy discussed. Selected experiments are conducted to determine accuracy of assessment techniques and efficacy of interventions. Emphasizes the use of the scientific method to answer questions about human behavior. Attendance on first day of class is required. Prerequisites: PSYC 111 and PSYC 243 with a grade of C or higher. PSYC 344 with a grade of C- or higher. Corequisite: PSYC 360, OR prerequisite PSYC 360 with a grade of C- or higher. It is recommended that students take PSYC 385 prior to this course, but this is not required. Restricted to psychology majors only. Offered either fall or spring semester,
