Catalog description

How drugs affect behavior and the body. Psychoactive drugs are examined from pharmacological, physiological, psychological, medical, sociological, economic and historical perspectives. Topics include both currently licit and illicit drugs. Students must earn a grade of C- or higher for this course to apply to the major. Prerequisite: PSYC 111. Usually offered every fall and spring semester.
