Catalog description
This advanced seminar will apply the tools of social science to the role of individuals on the world stage. How do leaders make decisions? Does it matter which person occupies power, or do models which assume people react similarly to institutional incentives adequately explain patterns of foreign policy? Students will engage with this topic through an in-depth, individual research project as well as course readings and discussion. Restrictions: Juniors and Seniors only (others permitted by Instructor). Offered every two years.
