Provides academic credit for students academic work relating to an independently arranged, non-paying political internship. Students must intern for at least 100 hours on site. An internship journal and term paper are required. Prerequisites: political science major; three related courses in political science; junior standing at the start of the internship; and an overall GPA of 3.0. Students who have earned credit for Albany or Washington internship programs are not eligible for PLSC 395. Variable credit. Students who wish to participate in an internship and who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that they will be asked about their prior criminal history. This may impede your ability to participate in certain internships. Students who have concerns about such matters, or are looking for additional information, are advised to contact the dean's office of their intended academic program.
