Provides credit for academic work related to a political science-related internship. Students are required to submit either periodic or final reports that provide overall analysis of their experience. Part of a structured internship program (e.g., SUNY Brockport's Washington Program; New York Assembly or Senate internship programs). Prerequisites: political science major; three related courses in political science; junior standing at the start of the internship; and an overall GPA of 3.0 Variable credit. Students who wish to participate in an internship and who have previously been convicted of a felony are advised that they will be asked about their prior criminal history. This may impedeyour ability to participate in certain internships. Students who have concerns about such matters, or are looking for additional information, are advised to contact the dean's office of their intended academic program.
