PLSC 383APolitics of Migration

Catalog

The movement of people is one of the most important phenomena in human history. Culture, language, and politics are all shaped in fundamental ways by migration. This is especially true of the United States. This class both explores the effect of migration on the development of American politics AND looks at migration itself as an issue in American politics. The course assumes some knowledge of American politics and history, and well as a more limited background in international relations, economics, and world history. This is a writing intensive course.
