Binghamton University · UGRD

This course is an exploration of the US Congress. Half of the course will examine Congress primarily by looking at both its internal processes and its relationships with other major political institutions within the American polity, including parties, elections, interest groups, and the executive and judicial branches. The other half of the course shifts attention to individual members of Congress and their behavior. Students will have opportunities to research members of their choice and will produce a written project plus a group oral presentation at the end of the course.
