Catalog description

The goal of this course is to provide students with an overview of the trial process through experiential learning in the form of a mock trial. The steps covered include learning the basic rules of evidence, trial order, making motions and objections to a court, preparing opening statements, conducting direct and cross-examinations, presenting evidence and exhibits, and delivering closing arguments. Restrictions: No Freshman (unless permitted by Instructor). Offered regularly in spring.
