Intermediate-level treatment of ray optics using matrix methods, physical optics, image formation, coherence, interference, diffraction, Fourier optics, holography and polarization. Should be of interest to students in physics, other physical sciences and engineering. Prerequisites: PHYS 331 and differential equations. Offered fall semester.
