Description: A calculus-based introduction to the basic concepts underlying physical phenomena, including kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, forces found in nature, rotational motion, angular momentum, simple harmonic motion, fluids, thermodynamics and kinetic theory. Physics I and II courses transferred to BU must include an in-person lab component. Courses that are completely online are not equivalent to our Physics I and II courses. Premed students should note that some medical schools may not accept physics courses that are completely online. Prerequisites: high school trigonometry and algebra; AP calculus or MATH 224/225 Open to students with a calculus background only. Lab begins second week of course.
