Catalog description

PHSC 600: Department and Student Seminar: Annually in both the M.S. and Ph.D. programs, all graduate students are required to deliver a seminar in order to develop their scientific public speaking skills. Times (25 or 45 min) and topics (journal, research or comprehensive proposal) vary depending upon the students graduate program and their time in the program, as outlined in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate Student Handbook. During the weeks when students are not presenting, there will be a mixture of other speakers - both from on and off campus - and class periods spent with the coordinator honing speaking skills. (
