PHSC 518: Analytical Methods and Instrumentation I: This course is designed to introduce students to common methodologies in pharmaceutical and biomedical research. Students will gain a theoretical understanding of experimental techniques, protocols, and associated equipment; apply their knowledge to various observation and/or practical laboratory experiments; and analyze and interpret associated experimental data. Methodologies in this course include cell and tissue analysis through sterile culture, FACS, microscopy, protein and nucleic acid quantification (e.g., Western blot, ELISA, spectroscopy, electrophoresis). (
