PHRM 580K: Advanced Pediatric Pharmacotherapy: This elective course is designed to build upon and supplement the core pediatrics disease content learned in PHRM 541 IPT VII: Pulmonary, Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat and PHRM 543 IPT IX: Special Populations - Geriatrics, Pediatrics, and Health of Rural Populations. Pharmacotherapeutic principles are applied to the presentation and management of pediatric patients with various disorders. Students will also engage in learning activities related to the pharmacist’s role in the pediatric advanced life support resuscitation team, medication safety, family medication education, and advocacy for pediatric patients.
