PHRM 567: Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience IV: Direct Patient Care II This is the fourth introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) and builds on students' exposure to pharmacy practice in a variety of direct patient care environments. The student is required to complete at least 300 hours of IPPE during the first three years; a minimum of 150 hours will be balanced between community pharmacy and institutional health-system settings. Students, under the supervision of a pharmacy preceptor, will gain "real-life" practice, as regulations permit, applying the knowledge and skills they are learning and developing in classroom and skills lab settings to direct patient care in various pharmacy practice environments. (2 credits) Prerequisites: Successful completion of the P2 Year or Office of Experiential Education permission.
