PHRM 564: Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience II: Hospital Pharmacy This is the second introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) and introduces students to pharmacy practice within an institutional pharmacy practice setting. The student is required to complete at least 300 hours of Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) during the first three years; a minimum of 150 hours will be balanced between community pharmacy and institutional health-system settings. Students, under the supervision of a pharmacy preceptor, will gain real life exposure to institutional pharmacy practice through (as regulations permit), by applying the knowledge and skills they are learning and developing in classroom and skills lab settings to direct and non- direct patient care within PHRM 564.
