Catalog description

PHRM 562: Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience I: Community Practice This is the first introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) and introduces students to pharmacy practice within a community pharmacy practice setting. The student is required to complete at least 300 hours of IPPE during the first three years; a minimum of 150 hours will be balanced between community pharmacy and institutional health-system settings. Students, under the supervision of a pharmacy preceptor, will gain real life exposure to community pharmacy (as regulations permit) by applying the knowledge and skills they are learning and developing in classroom and skills lab settings to patient care within PHRM 562.
