PHRM 515: Pharmaceutics II: Dosage Forms and Drug Delivery In this second in a series of pharmaceutics courses, the basic concepts developed in Pharmaceutics I (PHRM 513) are used as a foundation for students to further expand their learning about properties of dosage forms and drug delivery systems typically employed to administer medications. Specifically, technical and scientific considerations and methodologies required to produce dosage forms on a large scale, as well as the relationship of basic drug development and approval processes are covered. Emphasis is placed on understanding basic pharmaceutics principles underpinning representative dosage forms and delivery systems as well as their advantages and disadvantages. (
