PHRM 503: Foundations III: Introduction to Integrated Pharmacotherapy Clinical Sciences - Systems Pathophysiology, Clinical Chemistry and Delivery of Care This is the third of three pharmacy bridging courses that reviews basic scientific principles while exploring the application of these principles to therapeutic decision-making. The Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process introduced in Integrated Pharmacotherapeutics I (PHRM 504) will be advanced through deeper discussion of pharmacotherapeutic strategy including patient case history, patient assessment and medication therapy management. Clinical chemistry, interpretation of clinical laboratory tests and molecular diagnostics across body systems in the context of physiology and pathophysiology are covered. Clinical case-based examples and exercises are used to introduce students to therapeutic decision-making. A review of systems-based medical terminology will be covered. (
