This course will explore the philosophy and practice of political resistance. We will focus on the imaginative, epistemic, and moral work of innovating novel forms of political resistance, while drawing on political theory to understand the orientations, priorities, and goals of political resistance movements. Our discussions will draw heavily on intersectional frameworks in order to understand the innovations in resistance movements that grapple with multiple dimensions of domination and oppression, and we'll use case studies from the law, social movements, and fiction in order to ground and motivate our study.
